FAQ

Do you own a studio?

I do not own a studio however I work closely with two local studios and can provide studio space for headshots, family pics, or anything you have in mind! Studio fee is an extra $35/hour.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Cincinnati, Ohio and yes I love to travel! I will travel within a 50 mile radius at no extra charge! If you want me to photograph your story outside 50 miles, it will require a travel fee. But no worries, I just want to be compensated for my time and travel fees, I'm not looking to make money just to board a plane or drive a few hours out of the way.

How do we book? Is there a deposit?

So you're ready to book your wedding with me and you want to know what's next. I require 25% down to hold the date. This deposit will lock down your wedding day and ensure photographic services. In addition, I have a simple contract for us both to sign. It's nothing too in depth, it just guarantees that you get what you're paying for. I want everyone to feel safe with their money. And I want you to feel confident in booking with me!

How many pictures will we receive?

For a full day wedding which consists of 10 hours coverage, you will receive a minimum of 400 fully edited high resolution digital photos. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story.

What is your style?

I believe that photography is all about capturing a moment in time. I will be there on your wedding day as a photojournalist to photograph every moment imaginable as it naturally occurs. This does not mean I am against posed shots as I do believe there is a right time and place for these photos (group photos, location shoots, etc.) However, my ultimate goal is to document the wedding organically and tell a story through photographs without interrupting a moment or asking you to stop and smile.

What are your qualifications?

I have been into photography my whole life. I have taken photography courses in high school, college, and online at the New York Institute of Photography. Outside of academics, I have been in and out of the photography business since 2007. My business, Ron Adair Photography, is a life long vision come true. I shoot alone using the highest rated Nikon full frame digital DSLR with multiple lenses, speedlights, and a multitude of accessories. I have backups for everything including my main camera body so there is zero chance an equipment malfunction will affect your big day! I edit all photos individually by hand using the latest in Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop. I am fully insured through Nationwide Insurance. I am also registered and licensed to do business as a Sole Proprietor on a state and federal level. Long story short: nothing will stop me from capturing your special day!

When will we get our wedding photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the high resolution photos from the pixieset gallery.

How do I download my photos from Pixieset?

It's important to keep in mind that what you are seeing in the Pixieset gallery are the low resolution photos. To get your amazing high resolution photos you'll want to download them. This can be done by clicking the download icon (its the downward pointing arrow in between the heart and share buttons) in the gallery. You'll be asked for your email address which will be used to send you a link to the photos. It's that simple! You can also download individual photos on your phone by clicking the same arrow icon and following the instructions on the screen! Avoid screen captures because you'll lose all the resolution!

How do I print my photos?

I don't personally offer any printing services but I can help guide you in the right direction! Pixieset offers high quality printing directly from your photo gallery. You can order an array of different sizes/materials and have them shipped right to your door. This would be the easiest way to have your photos printed. If you'd prefer to print outside of Pixieset, please make sure you download your high resolution photos onto a computer/laptop. Avoid downloading them onto your phone for printing purposes as you'll lose some of the resolution. After you have the digital images on your computer, order from your favorite printing shop. I recommend Dodd Camera at Kenwood. They do amazing work and you can order them online and pick them up in the store. For full online services I would suggest Mpix. I would absolutely avoid cookie cutter photo labs like CVS/Walgreens/etc as their printers reduce quality/color and don't produce favorable results!
